ABOUT SCIENCE COMMUNICATION CLUB
As a student run club directly affiliated with the Center for Science Communication (CSC), we are striving to advocate for Science Communication on campus and make it known to more students. Our purpose is to introduce new scientific research being done within the science community and discuss how these things can and will affect the community at large. Our organization will work on getting these messages across in an effective and engaging way. Through our partnership with the CSC, and our diligence in following news from the scientific world, we aim to promote important messaging in a way that students of CSU would understand in spite of their backgrounds. Science communication is rewarding and can make a true difference in our communities. As science journalism is not well known, we are here to be its voice in the community. We also aim to introduce Science Communication as a field to students, helping them feel fulfilled, knowing that they were a part of something that made a difference, and how it may open career opportunities after graduation! We are here to sort out what is happening in the community and give our club members the ability to plug themselves in.
Through exciting professional speakers, hands on field trips, and personal activities, we will make a difference in our community one step at a time.
